A staggering 73%* of people speak too fast.
Don't let it happen to your child!

Parents and teachers are some of the best trainers in the world! They lay the foundations for a child’s education and ultimately their life and future career successes.

When a child is about two years of age, he or she will say their first word. By the time they start school, they are able to communicate their thoughts and feelings and they are taught the
basics of reading.

Teaching our youngsters to present their ideas and communicate effectively are important life skills, but they’re not taught a specific technique for the delivery of words, they are merely taught to string words together.

In response to growing requests, I have created an affordable, fun and unique communication skills programme specifically for students.  It can be delivered flexibly at home in bite sizes over just a few hours.

The course is based on the successful Hudson Voice Technique used widely by professionals, actors and presenters, including the BBC, lecturers at Oxford University, the Singapore Media Academy and has been accredited by the Law Society. It will have a major effect on your child’s education and future career.

Help your child get one step ahead with valuable skills and tools for now and the future.

Kind regards,

Steve Hudson

Give your child the gift of clarity and confidence

The Voicemaster Survey

A survey* in 2019 established that there are 7 common mistakes made when we read and speak. We all make at least three of them, don’t let your child learn these bad habits.

  • 73% Talk too fast – the listener can’t keep up with you

  • 81% Run sentences into each other - the listener gets confused

  • 43% Use a rising inflection at the end of sentences – it reflects a lack of knowledge

  • 34% Emphasise the wrong words - you’re not getting your message across

  • 32% Leave sentences open - makes you sound indecisive

  • 29% Lack energy when they speak - sounds boring, your listener tunes out

  • 18% Speak in a monotone - you lose the interest of the audience

Your Child's
Unique Speech Pattern

Children will say their first word at about two years of age. They do this by mimicking their parents (the good, the bad and the ugly!).

From this point, they will start to learn a vocabulary, language, accent, speed, and an intricate way of arranging words in a sentence. They are gradually creating their unique speech pattern - it’s rather like their verbal DNA.

Once they start school, things can change and they will pick up habits from their peers – not all of them good! There is a lot of reading involved in the first years of life and many children don't enjoy it. They will have to make presentations, and later, attend interviews and tests for university and careers, which is nerve racking; even for most adults.

The Hudson Voice Technique will give them more confidence when giving a presentation, at interviews and enjoy the written word more.

Your child will have more confidence when presenting in class

They will be able to read more efficiently and remember more!

Knowing how to use and control their voice will make their message
even clearer

By using the techniques learned, your child will be one step ahead, and will enjoy reading aloud, even presenting, much more.

Reviews from all over the world

Benefits of the course

  • More confidence when presenting in class - reduce nerves.

  • Increase memory retention when studying - by using the Hudson Voice Technique, children will remember more.

  • Reduce an accent if English is your child’s second language

  • Better success at oral exams - your child’s story will come to life.

  • Make a bigger impact at interviews - if your child has more confidence, their audience will have more confidence in them and what they say.

It's not just what you say, it's how you say it that makes the difference.

With the Hudson Voice Technique, you will be more successful, whatever your chosen career!

overview & delivery

'I would just like to let you know how the techniques I learnt on the course have helped me study for my Masters degree.
Through my own experience, it is assumed that reading is a given for the academic student. However, the Hudson Voice Technique can improve the efficiency with which you read and can help to absorb and assimilate information more effectively in any area.'

overview & delivery

The fact is; none of us were taught a communication technique at school because there wasn’t one, we were simply taught to string words together.’

Steve Hudson, Director, Voicemaster

This course has been specifically created for children aged 7 - 12.

The course consists of 5 key steps delivered through short and engaging videos.

The videos are entirely self-paced, so although we recommend 30 minutes a day over 7 days, the videos can of course slot around your child’s busy weekly activities!

The course takes your child through key steps such as the 3 golden rules of sentences, how to manage ‘mental’ commas, the art of s.l.o.w.i.n.g down, sounding confident, sincere and bringing their story to life by learning to emphasise the correct words.

Before your child starts learning the steps of the Hudson Voice Technique, we ask them to read and record four short scripts, on your phone or theirs.  This creates our all-important ‘before’ benchmark, which we then use to compare to their ‘after’ recording – you won’t believe the difference!

Our course Director, Steve, listens to your child’s final recording and will award a Voicemaster Diploma for them to showcase and be proud of.
